This interactive kiosk and web site examines the causes and effects of El Niño. A geo-referenced interface allows visitors to explore El Niño’s early warning signs, its ancient past, its global connections, and its good—as well as its bad—consequences. To test their knowledge of the topic, visitors can also play “Blame it on El Niño,” a quiz with surprising facts about the events. As well as the installation, an online version of the interactive is available on the museum’s website.
