Los Adaes

Built on the frontier of the Spanish empire, the outpost at Los Adaes was the capital of the Texas province for over fifty years. It was the scene of a unique cooperation among the Spanish, the French, and the indigenous Caddo Indians. In this online exhibition, visitors can explore the historical background of Los Adaes, reconstruct daily life on the frontier, and discover the stories that Los Adaes still reveals today.
