Buddhism along the Silk Road

See how Buddhist beliefs and artistic traditions were transmitted along the Silk Road through this short animation. Thousands of years of trade and invasion brought Buddhist monks into contact with merchants and nomadic peoples in Central Asia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. To trace these connections, this animation provides geographical and chronological context for objects on display in the exhibition.
